The spiny oyster in this necklace is just gorgeous! The color is a rich orange red with the beautiful striations variations that are so distinctive to spiny oyster. The four stones are framed with Wydell Billie's pristine silver work and each is framed with a simple rope.
Spiny oyster comes in many shades, but most common are the oranges, reds, and purples. I've been told that the difference in colors is due to diet and I've also been told it's due to the depth where the oyster lived. I'm no expert on oysters, but I do know the color is all natural and not enhanced... and this red is particularly beautiful!

Protect your jewelry from harsh chemicals and solvents as they can damage turquoise and other stones. I recommend using a Sunshine Cloth or similar to polish your silver. Do not immerse or subject your jewelry to running water as it can dislodge the stone from the setting.
