This belt buckle has it ALL! First of all it's a big one! The silver is beautifully stamped and framed with a rope. Then there's that turquoise nugget! Given the age, richness of the color, and the flecks of pyrite, this looks like high quality Morenci Turquoise to me. The nugget alone measures about 1" x 3/4" and stands about 1/2" from the surface of the buckle. The buckle was made by Tommy Long (1970-2018). His mother was silversmith, Helen Long who was honored as one of Arizona's Indian Living Treasures in 1999. It's signed on the back with Tom's conjoined TL.

This buckle could be worn by either a man or a woman and would fit a standard 1 1/4" wide leather belt.
The space for the leather measures 1 3/8"

Measurements:
A little less than 4" x just over 3 1/8"

Care Instructions

Protect your jewelry from harsh chemicals and solvents as they can damage turquoise and other stones.  I recommend using a Sunshine Cloth or similar to polish your silver.  Do not immerse or subject your jewelry to running water as it can dislodge the stone from the setting.
